Dean W. Ranns
Dean W. Ranns has 35 years of experience working in the construction industry. Beginning on the general contractor side, he built large institutional buildings. Since moving over to consulting, he has worked on research laboratories, medical facilities, BSL-3 laboratories, laboratory renovations, student housing infrastructure and teaching facilities. From working on both sides of a construction project, he is attentive to the needs of all parties involved: users, designers, contractors, maintenance personnel, life safety entities and owners. He has extensive knowledge about building closeout and project planning. From witnessing various project execution methods, Dean has a keen sense of what gets, and keeps, a project on track.
Dean N. Ranns
Dean N. Ranns began his career in construction 17 years ago. Starting in the field as a laborer, he later completed an electrical apprenticeship program in Sacramento. During his time as an apprentice, he also completed a Construction Management Certificate Program at U.C. Davis Extension. He excels in MEP estimating and cost analysis for both pre and post bid. Dean applies a hands-on approach to construction field issues. His field training and contractor connections allow for detailed analysis of even the most complex construction situations.
Bill Hartman is a California registered civil engineer and a graduate of the University of California, Davis. He has over 45 years of responsible engineering, inspection, and project management experience in a wide variety of project types. Bill’s expertise lay in the structural support and site layout, with experience in surveying, traffic and geometric engineering, estimating, utilities coordination, design, and construction inspection. He worked as a resident engineer, construction manager, and structural designer for facilities and civil projects. He has additional experience as an owner’s representative and field inspector on public works institutional projects. Bill always has an eye out for VE opportunities, looking for Civil, Structural and Fire Alarm alternatives. His range of experience allows him to evaluate and develop corrections for construction issues and to review plans to foresee possible problems and suggest potential solutions.
SSRI Consulting is the primary mechanical consultant for PRIMEbusiness. Greg has provided VE, QA/QC in these disciplines for PRIMEbusiness since 2004. His 40 years in the HVAC industry includes field and management experience for mechanical contractors and engineers. He has experience with Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Architectural Finishes and Flashings. Greg’s experience allows him to look for opportunities in this discipline and recognize conflicts that cause changes. Greg contributes in estimating by using his industry ties to locate reliable pricing on equipment and materials. His years of experience resulted in work on the following: Large Institutional Campuses, BSL-3 Laboratories, OSHPD Critical Care Hospitals, LEED, All Building Trade Disciplines, Uniform Building Codes, M&P System Engineering Design.
